Some wedding days feel less like the beginning of a new chapter and more like the beautiful continuation of a story that has been unfolding all along. For this couple, their wedding day was exactly that—a celebration of their love, their families, and the people who have been part of their journey. Their story began unexpectedly at the pool of their apartment complex, all because of a hat.
A simple meeting that would eventually lead to a Paris champagne-filled dream proposal, to a wedding day surrounded by everyone they love.

From a Poolside Meeting to Paris
When it came time for Sam to propose, he chose a setting worthy of their story: the Champagne region of France. The proposal took place in Paris, making an already unforgettable trip even more meaningful. As the bride put it, it was a “dream day behind our wedding.” And just over two years after they first met, they said “I do.”
A Vision of Timeless Elegance
For their wedding day, the couple chose a style they described simply as timeless elegance. But beyond the visual details, what mattered most was how the day felt.
They wanted their wedding to feel authentic and wholesome, with the guest experience at the heart of every decision. More than anything, they wanted everyone who attended to be able to feel the love in the air. And perhaps that is what made the celebration so special—the focus wasn't simply on creating a beautiful wedding, but on creating an experience that felt genuinely like them.

A Venue Filled
with Meaning
Their venue was chosen for a reason that went far beyond aesthetics. The legacy of the family homestead was incredibly important to them, making the location a meaningful backdrop for such an important milestone. There is something particularly beautiful about getting married in a place that already carries generations of memories—and then adding another chapter to that story. Their wedding day became part of that legacy!
Some Details
The bride found her dream dress at Bespoke Boise, wearing a Maggie Sottero gown that perfectly complemented the timeless aesthetic of the day. While Sam wore a custom tuxedo from Indochino. Her bridesmaids wore dresses from Birdy Grey and the groomsmen were dressed by The Black Tux.
Even their wedding date carried a little personality. They intentionally chose the 13th“because of Taylor Swift, of course!” It's those personal touches that make a wedding memorable. They don't have to be elaborate. Sometimes, they simply need to mean something to the people getting married.
The Best Part of the Day
When asked what the best part of their wedding day was, the answer was beautifully simple: “Having all of our people in the same place.”
After months of planning, countless decisions, and all of the anticipation leading up to the celebration, it came down to what mattered most—being surrounded by the people they love. That is ultimately what a wedding is about.

Would They Change Anything?
When asked if there was anything they would have done differently, the bride jokingly answered, “The bartenders”—but quickly followed it with the sentiment that mattered most: “Actually wouldn't change a thing. Our day was perfect!!”
Wedding Advice
If there was one piece of advice this couple would give to other couples planning their wedding, it would be simple: "Hire a wedding planner. And trust their expertise for a seamless day.” After experiencing the many moving pieces that come together to create a wedding, they saw firsthand the value of having someone there to manage the details, navigate the unexpected, and allow the couple to remain fully present in the celebration.
A Celebration That Felt Like Them
At the end of the day, this wedding wasn't defined by one particular detail. It was defined by the feeling—the feeling of gathering everyone they loved in one place, honoring family history, celebrating their relationship, and creating a day that felt authentic to who they are.

From a chance meeting at an apartment pool to a proposal in the Champagne region of France, and a wedding rooted in family, love, and timeless elegance, their story is a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful celebrations are the ones that feel unmistakably like you.
